Community First (C1CU) was outgrowing its main LaVilla headquarters (HQ1) at a rapid pace and approached TTV Architects with the inspiring process of designing an additional 30,000-square-foot headquarters annex named HQ2.
This was a two phased project beginning with a feasibility study to formulate the client’s 10-year projected needs assessment and determine the best solution. Our research revealed selecting an existing, underutilized building in Downtown Jacksonville that would allow the renovation to be environmentally sustainable and economical with time and budget, when compared to new construction.
A tight 8-month timeline was planned, which included conception, design, and construction, to adhere to the client’s move-in goal. Auld and White Constructors was selected as the contractor and brought in at the beginning of the project to expedite the process with an overlapping of phased design and construction. The final design of HQ2 included extensive exterior and interior renovations, state-of-the-art IT and AV technology with a seamless connection amongst all branches, energy efficient design strategies, and modular furniture design. TTV Architects is excited to bring green vitality to the urban core of our great city and continue partnering with C1CU.
